The aim of the present study was to design a structural model of bullying based on mothers' parenting styles mediated by emotional intelligence in 15–18-year-old male adolescents. The present study was applied in terms of its purpose and descriptive in terms of its methodology in the correlational study group. The statistical population was all male high school students in districts 4 and 5 of Tehran in the spring of 1403. The sample size was 400 people who were selected by convenience sampling. In this study, the mother form of the Baumrind Parenting Styles Scale (PSI) (1973), Bradberry and Greaves' Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (2005), and the Illinois Bullying Questionnaire (2001) were used as assessment tools. the research model was tested with the structural equation modeling technique using SPSS 28 and AMOS 24 statistical software. The results of this study showed that Permissive and authoritarian parenting styles directly predicted bullying, and authoritative parenting style inversely predicted bullying. Also, Permissive and authoritative parenting styles inversely predict emotional intelligence, and authoritative parenting style directly predicts bullying. Emotional intelligence was also able to predict bullying inversely. Finally, emotional intelligence was able to mediate the relationship between all three parenting styles and bullying in adolescent boys (p<0.05). According to the findings of this study, it can be concluded that psychologists and counselors can reduce bullying in adolescent boys by holding psychological training courses and workshops focused on modifying parenting styles and improving emotional intelligence.
