The purpose of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of solution-oriented therapy on the quality of life at school and the academic adjustment of students. The research method was a semi-experimental pre-test-post-test type with a control group. The research population included all the students of the first year of high school in the 15th, 16th and 17th districts of Tehran, of which 30 people were selected by available sampling method and 15 people were replaced in the experimental group and 15 people in the control group. The academic adjustment questionnaire of Clark et al. (1976) and the quality of life at school by Anderson and Burke (2000) were used to collect data. The experimental group received Grant's (2011) solution-oriented treatment during eight sessions, each session lasting 45 minutes. Multivariate covariance analysis with SPSS software was used to analyze the data. The findings showed that the solution-oriented approach was effective on the quality of life in school and the academic adjustment of students. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of solution-oriented therapy can lead to an increase in the quality of life in school and academic adjustment in students.
