The present study was conducted with the aim of comparing attachment styles and belief in a just world between adolescent girls with self-injurious and normal behaviors. The statistical population of the research included teenage girls in the 2nd district of Tehran in 2018. The research samples included 200 people, 100 of whom had committed non-suicidal self-harm at least once, and 100 had no history of self-harm. Sampling was done in an available manner. To collect data, Klonsky and Glenn (2009) Self-Injurious Behaviors and Functions scale, Douglas and Sutton (2005), Dalbert, Liebkos, Sully, and Gooch (2001) and Colinzo Reed's attachment styles (1990) were used. . It was a causal-comparative research that used multivariate analysis of variance to analyze the data. The findings showed that there is a significant difference in closeness attachment style between teenage girls with self-harming and normal behaviors (p<0.001) and no significant difference was observed between attachment and anxiety styles. The average values indicated that the closeness style was lower in adolescent girls with self-harming behaviors compared to the normal group. Also, among the dimensions of belief in a just world, only the component of beliefs in an unjust world showed a significant difference among teenage girls with self-harming and normal behaviors (p<0.001). that the average beliefs of the unjust world among teenage girls with self-harming behaviors were higher than the normal group.
