This study was conducted to examine the mediating role of dark personality traits in the relationship between childhood trauma history and interpersonal problems among married individuals. The research method was descriptive correlational. The statistical population included all married individuals in Khorasan Razavi province in the year 2023. The research sample consisted of 300 individuals who were selected using convenience sampling. The research instruments included the Dark Personality Traits Questionnaire, the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, and the Interpersonal Problems Questionnaire. The obtained data were analyzed using path analysis while observing statistical assumptions in SPSS and AMOS software. The results showed that Machiavellianism and narcissism do not mediate the relationship between childhood trauma and interpersonal problems (p<0.05). Antagonism, however, mediates the relationship between childhood trauma and interpersonal problems (p>0.05). Therefore, considering the dark personality trait of antagonism and the history of childhood trauma, it is suggested that necessary educational programs be implemented to reduce interpersonal problems among married individuals.
