The purpose of this research was to investigate the mediating role of metacognitive beliefs in the relationship between cognitive regulation of emotion and mindfulness of students with social anxiety and employees of the Ministry of Science and Research in the years 2015-2016. The method of the current research was correlation and the sample of this study included 120 employees with high social anxiety who were selected from among 321 employees using available sampling method after identification. Four questionnaires were used to collect information, the short form of Wells' Metacognition Questionnaire, Cognitive Regulation of Emotion Questionnaire, 5-Factor Mindfulness Questionnaire, and Conover's Social Anxiety Questionnaire. Then descriptive and inferential statistical analyzes (Pearson correlation and path analysis) were performed on the data. A direct, positive and meaningful path from self-blame, rumination, blame of others and description and non-reactivity is established on social anxiety. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the components of cognitive regulation of emotion and mindfulness of employees with social anxiety.
