The research community consisted of all married students of Islamic Azad University, Ilam branch in the academic year 1402-03, from which 280 people were selected as a statistical sample. The research tools included Whiteley's marital infidelity attitude questionnaire, Neff et al.'s self-compassion questionnaire, and Hoffman and Kashdan's emotional self-regulation questionnaire. Data were analyzed based on structural equation modeling and using AMOS version 24 software.
