The effectiveness of education based on lifestyle change on the quality of marital relationship of couples with marital conflict

Abstract
The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of education based on lifestyle change on the quality of marital relationships of couples with marital conflict. The current research was of a quasi-experimental type with pre-test, post-test and control group. The statistical population of the study was made up of women with marital conflicts with their husbands in Ardabil city who had been referred to counseling centers in 1402. The sample size was equal to 30 people who were placed in two experimental (15 people) and control (15 people) groups. A pre-test was taken from both groups, then training based on changing the lifestyle of the Van Pay model (2018) was given to the experimental group, and then a post-test was taken from both groups. The data were collected using the Sanai Marital Conflict Questionnaire (1379), and the Marital Relationship Quality Questionnaire (Busby et al., 1995) and analyzed by SPSS software (version 26) using the analysis of covariance method. they got. The results of the research showed that the quality of the marital relationship of couples with marital conflict in the post-test stage increased significantly in the experimental group compared to the control group (P<0.01). Therefore, education based on lifestyle change can be used by couples therapists as an effective intervention for conflicted couples in order to increase the quality of marital relationships.
