Abstract
The present study was conducted to investigate the effect of teaching self-regulated learning strategies on students' working memory and academic identity. This study is an applied study in terms of purpose and a field experimental study in terms of method with a pre-test-post-test design and follow-up with a control group. The statistical population of this study consisted of all eleventh grade female students in the four education districts of Qom city who were studying in the academic year 2024-2025.In this study, a multi-stage random sampling method was used to select the subjects. In this study, the Pentrich and De Groot self-regulated learning strategies training program, the digit span and letter-number sequence tests of the fourth edition of the Wechsler-Abedi Intelligence Scale, and the Vaz and Isaacson Educational Identity Status Questionnaire were used to collect data related to the variables.The results showed that training in self-regulated learning strategies has an effect on working memory and academic identity, and on working memory subscales and academic identity subscales of eleventh-grade female students in Qom's Education Department at the post-test and follow-up stages.
