Abstract
The aim of the present study was to Designing a Structural Model of Marital Burnout Based on Alexithymia with the Mediation of covert relational aggression in Married Women. This study was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of methodology in the correlational study group. The statistical population of this study was all married women in District 4 of Tehran in the summer of 1403. The sample size was 400 people who were selected by convenience sampling. In this study, the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (Bagby et al, 1994), the Couples' covert relational aggression Scale (Nelson and Carrol ,2006) and the Marital Burnout Scale (Pines ,1996) were used as assessment tools. The relationship between variables was tested with the Pearson correlation coefficient and the research model was tested with the Structural equation modeling (SEM) technique using SPSS 28 and AMOS 24 statistical software. The results of this study showed that alexithymia could directly predict covert relational aggression and marital burnout. Also, covert relational aggression could directly predict marital burnout. Finally, covert relational aggression could mediate the relationship between alexithymia and marital burnout in married women (p<0.05). According to the findings of this study, it can be concluded that psychologists and family counselors can reduce marital burnout in married women by improving alexithymia and covert relational aggression.
