A review of the role of attachment styles on social anxiety in adults

Abstract
The aim of this study was to review the role of attachment styles on social anxiety. Social anxiety as one of the most common anxiety disorders is associated with impaired social functioning at school, work and private life. In this article, by reviewing the texts by referring to specialized articles to collect information from psychological sources, the relationship androle of safe and insecure attachment styles on social anxiety were described and explained. According to the review of the results, the variable of attachment style can be used in the discussion of prevention of harmful behaviors caused by social anxiety by counselors and psychologists
