The present research was conducted with the aim of predicting marital satisfaction based on emotional intelligence and emotional creativity of couples. The research was of the correlation type and the statistical population of the research was all couples working in education and training in Tehran province, region 4, who were selected by cluster sampling method with a sample number of 200 couples. The tools used in the research were the emotional intelligence questionnaire of Pitrides and Farnham (2001), marital satisfaction by Elson, Forins and Druckman (1982) and emotional creativity by Avril (1999). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (multiple regression and Pearson correlation coefficient) and using spss20 software. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence, emotional creativity and marital satisfaction (P<0.001). Also, emotional intelligence and emotional creativity have the ability to predict marital satisfaction (P<0.001). As a result, the results of this research can be used to develop educational packages to reduce marital conflicts and increase marital satisfaction.
