During the past years, in the field of studying the psychological disturbance of people, in the face of unfavorable situations, attention has been paid to interventions such as time perspective techniques, which have five dimensions: the positive past, the negative past, the hedonistic present, the present, and fate. and includes the future, it is important to create psychological peace and personal adaptation. Considering this, the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of time perspective therapy on the rumination of mothers of autistic children. This research was carried out in a semi-experimental design, and during a two-group randomized controlled trial (one experimental group and one control group), a three-stage research with measurement at the baseline, after the intervention (post-test) and in the follow-up phase. . Among the statistical population of mothers of autistic children, 30 people in the city of Isfahan were selected based on the criteria for entering the research and randomly selected to the experimental group (n = 15: under the vision therapy program during 8 group sessions once a week). and the control group (n=15: did not receive any intervention) were assigned. All participants completed Snyder Snyder's (1991) adult hope scale and Nolen Hoeksma and Marlowe's (1991) rumination scale in three baseline stages, after time perspective treatment and follow-up stage.
