Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between mental strength and social support with mental health in injured athletes of different sports. Methodology: A correlational research and the statistical population of the study includes injured male and female athletes of different disciplines sports in Tehran city in 2017 who have referred to Pass physiotherapy, Aftab physiotherapy and sports medicine federation physiotherapy centers of this
city. In this way, 100 people were selected by simple random sampling (lottery). General health, perceived social support, and mental strength questionnaires were used to collect information. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (multiple regression and Pearson correlation coefficient) and using spss20 software. Findings:
The findings showed that there is a relationship between mental strength and social support with mental health, and mental strength and social support can predict the mental health of injured athletes (P<0.001). Conclusion: There is a relationship between mental strength and social support with mental health in injured athletes of various sports fields, and the results of the present study
can be used to develop treatment protocols to increase the mental health of these people .Keywords: mental strength, social support, mental health, injured athletes .
